Audit Staff – Senior – Supervisor (Louisville, KY)

Tax Manager (New Albany)

 

We are looking for candidates who are motivated to advance their career in public accounting and who have demonstrated an ability to lead others.  Managers lead one or more staff members, instruct them in work to be performed, review the work done, and direct necessary revisions.

 

As a Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and mentoring staff in work to be performed and providing holistic feedback to them about their job performance and career growth.
  • Assuming full responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing multiple engagements.
  • Preparing complicated tax returns and returns on dissolution or liquidation.
  • Conducting detailed reviews on a variety of tax returns and raising potential tax issues.
  • Demonstrating the ability to provide quality tax planning to clients.
  • Researching complicated tax issues and providing accurate technical guidance.
  • Building and nurturing an internal and external network and leveraging effective relationships to develop new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrating expertise and competence in your specialties.
  • Preparing routine correspondence to clients for approval and signature of a Director, and supervising preparation of management letters.
  • Cooperating with, supporting and providing aid to other Managers and Directors.
  • Conducting yourself so as to maintain and enhance an image of spirit, cooperation, competence, enthusiasm and sense of urgency.
  • Performing the broadest range of accounting tasks so that direct participation of Directors is kept to a minimum.
  • Preparing other reports, projects and duties as may be assigned.

Education, experience, and skills we’re looking for:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of tax, accounting tasks and knowledge.
  • Maintains active CPA license.
  • Experience with corporate taxation, individuals, and partnerships.
  • Excellent management and supervision skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
  • Proficiency in use of computers, including accounting and tax software programs.

Senior Tax Accountant (New Albany)

 

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated an ability to oversee and perform a wide variety of diversified accounting and tax assignments. Senior Accountants are responsible for ensuring work is completed timely and often lead one or more staff, instruct them in work to be performed, review work completed, and direct necessary revisions.

 

As a Senior Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of complex business tax returns.
  • Completing tax planning for clients.
  • Performing research on technical accounting and tax issues.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client matters.
  • Participating in external networking events and cultivating client relationships.
  • Performing other accounting and tax duties as needed and assigned by supervisory personnel.

Education, experience, and skills we’re looking for include:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm (within the last 7 years) including preparation and/or review of corporation and partnership tax returns.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.
  • Holds a valid CPA license or is eligible and actively pursuing their certification. If licensed, should be a member in good standing with the AICPA.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and tax.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in use of computers, including accounting and tax software programs.

Accounting Specialist

 

Do you have a heart for using your affinity for numbers, organizational skills, and interest in learning to help small business owners manage the financial aspects of their business, so that they have the timely, accurate and usable information they need to run their business effectively?

 

We are looking for a rising star who is professional in demeanor and outlook, has unquestioned integrity and an obvious work ethic, can communicate clearly and effectively, and who is willing to go above and beyond in serving clients with high accuracy and timeliness. Bookkeeping experience using Quickbooks and/or cloud accounting platforms such as Sage Intacct, Bill.com, etc., or motivation and ability to quickly learn new cloud accounting applications and processes is key.  Duties will include the following: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial report preparation and more.

 

This position offers outstanding potential for growth and the opportunity to work with experienced CPAs serving successful businesses and individuals throughout the region.
