PPP Loan Application Window Opened Today For Many

The PPP loan application window opened today, Jan 15 for both first- and second-draw PPP forgivable loans (for community lenders with $1 billion or less in assets). Applications for large lenders will open on Tuesday, Jan 19.

The SBA and Treasury issued guidance on Jan. 6 for the new Paycheck Protection Program, which is similar to the prior PPP with some key differences. You can read a more detailed analysis here.

The SBA also announced a $12 billion relief program to support qualifiying venues impacted by the pandemic, known as the “Save Our Stages” or SOS Grant Program. Stay tuned for more information when applications become available.
