Welcome New Staff
We welcomed two new staff accountants this month: Seth Gamble, from the University of Kentucky, and Kevin Graham, who has prior experience with a national firm.
Sarah Rasmovich joined DMLO as a Supervisor, following several years at another local firm.
Susanna Thapa, Staff Accountant, will join us in early August. She recently moved to Louisville from New Orleans where she worked for a national firm.
Manager Group ‘Breaks Out’ Of the Office For a Day
About 30 DMLO Managers spent the day sharing perceptions of our current environment, how it has evolved, and what we’d like to strive for in the coming years. We discussed the staffing challenges our industry faces, our image in the community, how to engage more effectively with incoming generations, enhancing our training program, and maximizing our resources. Three teams went to Breakout Louisville, but only one ’broke out’… congrats Team 2!
DMLO Launches ‘Dress For Your Day‘ Concept
DFYD adapts ‘business casual’ dress code to allow more discretion in choosing appropriate attire for the business of each workday. While the concept encourages staff to dress in a more relaxed manner when the schedule for the day does not involve meetings with clients, company executives, or the like, they are expected to choose clothing appropriate for the nature of our business and the professional work performed.
This change is part of our continuing effort to ensure DMLO’s workplace culture remains in the top 20% in the nation.
