We recently invited students from several area universities to join us for a leadership program.

Enjoy our highlight gallery, and check out the great feedback we received from participants.

“Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to participate in DMLO’s leadership day. It was an extremely insightful and amazing experience!”

“The leadership day met and even exceeded my expectations! I was impressed that one of the first things we got to do was meet DMLO’s president, Chris Ward, and learn about his vision for the future of the company. Interacting with staff and hearing about their experiences with the company and the field of accounting in general was my favorite part of the day. Everyone was so warm and eager to engage with us. I felt very welcome and am now even more excited to pursue a career in public accounting!”

“I liked being able to ask questions, and learning about what makes DMLO different from other CPA firms. I was impressed with your dedication to flexibility, your encouragement of volunteering, and the friendly attitude exhibited by everyone. I also really enjoyed the presentation on LinkedIn and how you can use it to digitally network.”

“I really enjoyed going to Breakout Louisville! It was a great way to end the day and we got to work with other students and DMLO employees.”

“I found it extremely beneficial that there were only a few students selected to participate, so each of us could have more one-on-one interactions with the staff and see more of a glimpse into what DMLO’s culture is like. Everyone was extremely personable and easy to get along with. As someone who struggles socially, I felt comfortable and never had a problem holding a conversation. The Q&A panel was the most beneficial to me because I was able to hear why each person chooses to stay at DMLO.”

“DMLO has been at the top of my firm list for internships because of its friendly staff and culture, and after attending the leadership day, I feel even more confident that DMLO is a good fit for me.”

“I would say the leadership day definitely exceeded my expectations; everyone that I met was very outgoing and friendly. The way you all create a more casual atmosphere in the workplace definitely made the experience more enjoyable, and made DMLO seem like a company that I would love to work for.”

“I thought the social activity at Breakout was a really fun event to close the day. It definitely fit in perfectly, because all of the challenges required teamwork and communication, as well as taking leadership and being able to think outside of the box. People think that accountants just crunch numbers all day, but in reality being able to relay information and communicate with your peers in a team environment is arguably just as important of a skill in the workplace.”

“I had a lot of fun with the games and found the Q&A panel very interesting and beneficial. I liked being able to talk with the employees, as I was able to ask one-on-one questions and learn more about the firm.”

“It did not just meet, it exceeded my expectations! You found a great balance and look like seasoned professionals when it comes to putting on a summer leadership program. Keep highlighting to the young professionals in Louisville all of the ways that DMLO is millennial friendly and a fun workplace culture!”

“I loved your Summer Leadership!”
