Client Accounting Services (CAS) Director
DMLO is seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Director to join our team’s Louisville, KY or New Albany, IN office. This position is responsible for the overall management of the Client Accounting Services division including recruitment, scheduling supervision and pricing for clients of various sizes, stages and industries throughout the region. The CAS Director will be responsible for the department’s client portfolio and delivering exceptional client service.
As the CAS Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CAS department
- Managing workloads of CAS staff
- Overseeing and assisting with client onboarding and conversions
- Developing and implementing standards to ensure consistency of CAS work and products
- Meeting with prospective clients and develop pricing for engagements
- Monitoring engagement profitability, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, and proposing pricing adjustments annually
- Providing client support as needed
- Participating in hiring process for CAS staff
- Supervising staff including training, advising, and supporting associates in meeting client and Firm expectations
- Completing evaluations of CAS staff members
- Working with Firm management to develop and execute strategic plan for growth of the department
What do we look for?
- Accounting or Business degree (4 years) required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with range of CAS services including – full range bookkeeping, payroll tax returns, sale tax returns
- Experience in a public accounting firm a plus, but not required
- CPA license preferred, but not required
- Ability to lead, delegate and instruct
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced competency in technical skills and knowledge in the areas of bookkeeping, financial statements, payroll tax, and sales tax
- Technical knowledge of GAAP and other basis of accounting, including cash and tax, for financial statements
- Skilled in functionality and extensive use of Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks desktop
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Right Networks a plus
- Ability to use Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
